Annamaria Bellocchio

soprano, vocal coach


Born in Mola di Bari (Ba), she graduated with honors in Singing from “Nino Rota” Conservatoire of Music in Monopoli (BA) in 2010, under the guidance of Soprano Rosanna Casucci.

She attended many Masterclasses with renowned tutors such as Konstatin Bogino, Manuela Custer, Mirjam Schreur, Emma Kirkby and London Baroque at Federico Cesi Festival, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Claudine Ansermet at Festival Internazionale di Musica Antica Urbino 2011.

She won the first prize at the XI Concorso Nazionale di Musica Fratres of Monteroni (LE), the third prize at “T. Traetta” IV International Singing Competition for young talented musicians. In 2015 she won the national public competition as Opera Chorus Member at Bari Petruzzelli Theatre.

Her former roles include works such as: Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, T. Dubois’s The seven last words of Christ, Vivaldi’s Gloria in D RV 589, Handel’s Messiah HWV 56, T. Traetta’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Requiem KV 626, Mozart’s Mass in Bb KV 275, Charpentier’s Te Deum H.146, Schubert’s Mass in G. D 167, G. Millico’s Inno al Sole, a cantata on the ode by G.S.Poli (first performance in modern times), Pergolesi’s Salve Regina in A minor, Vivaldi’s Magnificat RV 611 (Venice Version), Cavalieri’s Rappresentazione di Anima e di Corpo.

She also performed in: Lehàr La Vedova Allegra (role: Valencienne), Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (role: Nella) and Rota’s Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze (role: Elena at “N.Rota” Conservatoire in Monopoli and role of La Modista at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari).

In 2006 she gave a series of concerts in New York (USA) called "Un Concerto Pugliese" organized by Van Westerhout Cultural Activities. She also performed in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI at Teatro Argentina in Rome.

In 2011 she performed with a madrigal ensemble to present the volume “Jacquet Berchem: Il primo libro dei madrigali a 4 voci (1555)” printed by Florestano Editore.

She performed at Auditorium del violino in Cremona for “Il Violinista sul Tetto” season and at Maldon Festival in Maldon (UK).

She recorded Passio Domini Nostri Iesu Christi Secundum Ioannem by Vito Antonio Cozzoli (role: Soliloquentes), Officia in feria V et VI Maioris Hebdomadae by Antonio Pansini, for Digressione music label, in collaboration with Cappella Musicale Corradiana choir & orchestra, conducted by Antonio Magarelli. She is also the Vocal Coach of Cappella Musicale Corradiana choir members.

She holds an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad preferring to perform the Renaissance and Baroque sacred and profane repertoire.
